Electrical Technician

About the role

Veolia is seeking an Electrical Technician to join its Southern Region team, based in Aldermaston. You will support site operations, ensure equipment reliability and contribute to a sustainable future by delivering safe and efficient electrical services.

Key responsibilities

• Work with site management to maintain a safe environment for personnel, contractors and visitors.
• Respond promptly to plant and equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
• Report unsafe or defective plant, tools, equipment, PPE, and hazardous practices.
• Operate workshop facilities safely in line with company and statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of spares and accessories in both paper and electronic formats.
• Participate in confined‑space operations and undertake related training as required.

Required profile

• Electrical qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher, including 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• City & Guilds or equivalent (ECS, JIB) certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain Ministry of Defence Developed Vetting security clearance.
• Full UK driving licence and experience working across a large geographical area.
• Basic IT competence.

• Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) Qualification (advantageous)
