Electrical Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join a world‑class manufacturing facility in Grays. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the reliability of production equipment through hands‑on electrical work, troubleshooting and collaboration with operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, install, rebuild and repair electrical equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Provide emergency and routine repairs, supporting shift‑based technicians.
• Analyse and programme PLC logic (preferably Allen Bradley) and control equipment.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools to sustain high machine reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in the SAP system.
• Promote safety by following protocols, reporting near‑misses and keeping a tidy workspace.
• Develop mechanical maintenance skills to broaden technical coverage.

Required profile

• HNC/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or a time‑served apprenticeship.
• Proven electrical experience in a process or production environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a shift‑based team.
• Proactive mindset focused on reliability improvements.
