Electrical Tester – Fixed Wire & Remedial Works

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Fixed Wire Electrical Tester to join a leading electrical compliance and testing company operating across the UK. The role involves testing fixed wire circuits in commercial premises and carrying out remedial works to ensure compliance with the latest regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fixed wire electrical circuit testing in commercial properties (approximately 80% of time).
• Carry out small EICR remedial works and associated repairs (approximately 20%).
• Travel across the Central Belt of Scotland and occasionally further north, with up to 5‑10 days away per month.
• Report test results and remedial actions to clients and internal teams.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Based in or near the Central Belt of Scotland, preferably close to Glasgow.
• Hold a valid 18th Edition qualification.
• Possess an Electrical 2391 testing certificate or equivalent.
• AM2 certification or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in fixed wire testing and EICR remedial work.
• Ability to pass a DBS check.
