Electrician – Commercial & Residential Maintenance

About the role

We are partnering with a leading building maintenance organisation to recruit skilled electricians for commercial and residential projects across the UK. You will join a team delivering planned maintenance services for residential properties and a variety of client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical repairs, installations, and system upgrades in commercial properties.
• Install and maintain electrical systems such as extractor fans, lighting, power sockets, distribution boards, heating and fire alarm systems.
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations, industry standards and health & safety requirements.
• Collaborate with other trades, contractors and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain a professional, respectful and customer‑focused approach while on‑site.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proven experience in commercial or residential electrical work.
• Strong understanding of current electrical safety standards and building regulations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection and Testing) – preferred.
• City & Guilds 2394/2395 (Inspection and Testing) – preferred.
