Electrician – Commercial & Residential Projects

About the role

Join PHS Compliance as an Electrician working on a variety of commercial and domestic properties across the Glasgow area. You will be responsible for delivering compliance‑driven electrical work, from remedial repairs to LED lighting projects, while supporting on‑call and out‑of‑hours services.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical remedial works in commercial and domestic premises, addressing C2, C3 and F/I defects from EICR reports.
• Respond to reactive call‑outs and perform scheduled maintenance during normal hours and out‑of‑hours rotas.
• Install, replace and commission LED lighting systems.
• Complete all required administration, including work orders, inspection reports, customer notes and quotations.

Required profile

• Full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months (maximum 6 points).
• Qualified electrician with SJIB/JIB card.
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2 qualification.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification and AM2 certification.
• Good IT literacy and understanding of health and safety regulations.
• IPAF and PASMA certification (desirable).
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 inspection and testing qualifications (desirable).

• Base salary £35,433‑£37,795 with average earnings around £50,000 (including on‑call, overtime and travel time).
