Electrician – Days‑Based Role on University Campus

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join a beautiful university campus in Reading. This is a full‑time, days‑based position (36‑hour week) offering an excellent work‑life balance and the chance to work in a historic and scenic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance across a variety of campus buildings.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults promptly.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety and regulatory standards.
• Carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to support estate operations.

Required profile

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to join an on‑call roster.
