Electrician – Domestic Heating & Hot Water Systems

About the role

Sureserve is seeking a qualified electrician to join its team delivering heating, energy‑saving and compliance solutions for social housing and the public sector. You will work across the East of England and the Midlands, visiting properties to test, install and remediate electrical systems linked to domestic heating and hot water.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) after assessing property installations.
• Perform periodic testing and install wiring for new heating systems on residential and commercial sites.
• Provide high‑level customer care, communicating progress and completing paperwork electronically and manually.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH records.
• Manage stock ordering and auditing to ensure required parts are available.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician with experience in domestic heating and hot water systems.
• Professional, friendly attitude with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, with a one‑hour lunch break.

Required skills

• EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) competency.
• Testing and wiring installation for heating and hot‑water systems.
• Knowledge of domestic heating system components.
• Understanding of Health & Safety, Risk Assessment and COSHH procedures.
