Electrician – Electrical Technician (Peterlee, NE England)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join PHS Group Limited in the Peterlee area (SR8 2LS). The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing electrical circuits and a range of washroom electrical products for our hygiene services customers. You will work independently with a company‑provided van, tools and mobile equipment, enjoying flexible start times and a good work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test and maintain hand‑dryers, air cleaners, water‑saving devices and other electrical washroom products.
• Carry out electrical work to BS 7671 (18th Edition) standards.
• Manage your own stock and inventory for each assigned area.
• Travel to customer sites across the Peterlee region using a company van and fuel card.
• Provide high‑quality customer service and adhere to company core values.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (or willingness to train).
• Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months with fewer than 6 penalty points and no recent endorsements.
• Enhanced DBS check eligibility.

Required skills

• Electrical installation and maintenance to BS 7671 (18th Edition) standards.
• Inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
• Use of test equipment, PPE and handheld devices.
