Electrician (Empty Homes) – Mobile across North Yorkshire

About the role

Broadacres Housing Association is seeking an experienced Electrician to join its Property Services team. You will work mobile across North Yorkshire, carrying out inspections, maintenance, repairs and installations in empty homes to ensure safety and comfort for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical inspections, maintenance and repairs in residential properties.
• Install electrical systems, wiring and fixtures.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and respond to maintenance requests.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an electrician, preferably in a residential setting.
• Relevant electrical qualifications or certification.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of electrical regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to join an on‑call rota.
