Electrician – Fixed Wire Testing (Bristol)

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is for a qualified electrician who will specialise in fixed‑wire and periodic inspections across commercial and industrial sites within a 40‑mile radius of Bristol. The role offers a stable home‑based schedule with no overnight stays or on‑call duties, allowing a strong work‑life balance while delivering a competitive earnings package.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out fixed‑wire inspections and periodic testing on commercial and industrial installations.
• Complete up to 40 hours per week covering sites within a 40‑mile radius of your home address.
• Achieve circuit testing targets to qualify for performance bonuses (£2 per circuit after 45 circuits, £3 per circuit after 58).
• Work one paid Saturday per month on price‑work testing at £3 per test.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and report any non‑compliance.

Required profile

• Holding an 18th Edition electrical qualification and BS 7671 (2391) certification.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel locally without overnight stays.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and upskilling.
