Electrician – Fixed Wire Testing (Glasgow)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified electrician to carry out Fixed Wire and Periodic Inspections on commercial and industrial sites across a local patch centred on Glasgow. The position offers a home‑based 40‑hour week with no call‑outs or stays away, allowing a strong work‑life balance while still delivering a competitive earnings package.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Fixed Wire inspections and Periodic Inspections on commercial and industrial premises.
• Travel within the designated local patch (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Kilmarnock and surrounding areas) to complete daily circuits.
• Record inspection results and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Achieve daily circuit targets to qualify for performance bonuses.

Required profile

• Electrically qualified to the 18th Edition (BS 7671) and holding 2391 or AM2 certification.
• Valid UK driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work independently within a defined local area.

Required skills

• Fixed Wire testing and inspection.
• Periodic inspection procedures for commercial/industrial installations.
• Knowledge of 18th Edition regulations and BS 7671 (2391) standards.
• AM2 competency.
