Electrician – Full-time, Permanent

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and qualified electrician to join our team in Hastings. This hands‑on, field‑based position involves maintaining, repairing and installing electrical systems in new‑build domestic properties, ensuring homes are safe, compliant and ready for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reactive repairs to lighting circuits, sockets, fuseboards and other electrical systems.
• Inspect and test installations to verify safety and regulatory compliance.
• Replace or repair faulty components such as switches, outlets, light fittings and circuit breakers.
• Work independently or within a team to meet daily repair targets.
• Communicate clearly with tenants about repair scope and outcomes.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas after each job.
• Respond to emergency call‑outs, including out‑of‑hours shifts when required.
• Use IT systems to manage and prioritise workload.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (including AM2).
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (or 17th Edition with progression to 18th).
• Full UK driving licence with a clean record.
• Previous experience in domestic or social‑housing environments.
• Inspection and Testing 2391 (or equivalent 2394/2395) preferred.
