Electrician – Full‑time – £40,101 per year

About the role

Irwell Valley Homes is seeking a qualified electrician to join its residential maintenance team. You will work across homes and empty properties in the Sale and Greater Manchester area, delivering safe, compliant electrical services while providing a high‑quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of electrical work in customers' homes, including repairs, replacements and new installations.
• Diagnose faults, rectify issues and ensure work complies with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Produce and submit required certifications such as EICR, Minor Works and Installation certificates.
• Update job status in real‑time via PDA and liaise with planners when access or viability issues arise.
• Report any safeguarding concerns or potential repairs observed during visits.

Required profile

• City & Guilds Parts I, II & III or NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation.
• City & Guilds 2391, 2394 and 2395 qualifications.
• Current BS 7671 (18th Edition) certification.
• Proven experience in a similar role, including testing and inspection of domestic dwellings.
• Full, valid driving licence and ability to work on‑site.
• Willingness to undergo a basic DBS check.
