Electrician – Full‑Time – South West England

About the role

We are seeking a qualified electrician to join our growing team in South West England. This hands‑on, field‑based position involves maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems in both void and occupied domestic properties.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reactive repairs to lighting circuits, sockets, fuseboards and related electrical systems.
• Inspect and test installations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Replace or repair faulty components such as switches, outlets, light fittings and circuit breakers.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet daily repair targets.
• Communicate clearly with tenants about repair scope and outcomes.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and adhere to health‑and‑safety policies.
• Respond to emergency call‑outs, including out‑of‑hours shifts when required.
• Use relevant IT systems to manage and prioritise workload.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, including AM2.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (or 17th Edition with progression to 18th).
• Full UK driving licence with a clean record.
• Previous experience in domestic or social‑housing electrical work.

Required skills

• Electrical installations and circuit testing.
• Repair of lighting circuits, switches and outlets.
• Use of maintenance and scheduling IT systems.
