Electrician – Maintenance & Installation

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Electrician to join a growing team that provides maintenance services to rail, education, health, local authority and church sectors across Southern England. You will work on both planned and reactive projects, ensuring high‑quality electrical installations and upkeep of client assets.

Key responsibilities

• Install electrical systems and carry out reactive and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on client assets.
• Ensure all work complies with client specifications, asset registers and industry standards.
• Assess plant equipment condition and submit "Life Expired" reports for unfit assets.
• Identify required repairs after site visits and support the Contracts Manager with cost estimates.
• Order materials, receive site deliveries and verify delivery notes with the site Foreman.
• Complete and submit worksheets and material paperwork to Head Office.
• Adhere strictly to health & safety protocols and attend mandatory training.

Required profile

• BS 7671 – 18th Edition inspection and testing knowledge.
• Minimum 3 years’ hands‑on experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
• PTS Card preferred but not essential.
• Systematic, logical approach to tasks and problems.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
