Electrician – NHS (West & East Sussex)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified electrician to support NHS facilities across West and East Sussex. The role is full‑time, on‑site, and offers a competitive hourly rate for a six‑month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and non‑routine electrical maintenance and repairs.
• Carry out new installations, reactive fault work and scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Assist contractors during inspections and installations, ensuring compliance with health, safety and security regulations.
• Maintain tool inventories and adhere to the latest Wiring Regulations.

Required profile

• Full clean driving licence (vehicle provided).
• City & Guilds Part II or NVQ Level 3 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) qualification.
• Minimum three years’ experience diagnosing, maintaining and repairing electrical plant, lighting, power systems, standby generators, HVAC and associated equipment.

Required skills

• Fault diagnosis of electrical systems.
• Maintenance of lighting and power distribution.
• Standby generator servicing.
• Air‑conditioning and ventilation system upkeep.
• Work with portable and domestic electrical appliances.
