Electrician – Renewable Energy Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrician with a strong work ethic to join our specialist team. The role is central to supporting our heat‑pump, air‑conditioning, solar and boiler engineers, delivering high‑quality electrical installations, fault‑finding and system integrations across both traditional heating and renewable technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installations, testing and maintenance for heating and renewable energy systems.
• Work closely with boiler, AC, heat‑pump and solar engineers to provide electrical support.
• Install and configure heating controls; training supplied for wiring spurs, thermostats, S‑plan, Y‑plan and full system wiring.
• Assist with electrical supplies and connections for electric boilers, AC units, heat pumps and, where required, solar PV systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and control faults quickly and effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) and relevant safety standards.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate clearly with the wider team.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• ECS/JIB card (preferred) and full UK driving licence.
• Proven experience in domestic and/or commercial environments.
• Inspection & Testing qualification (2391) – desirable.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, proactive with strong problem‑solving ability.
