Electrician (Solar Training) – Field Based

About the role

We are looking for a qualified electrician (NVQ Level 2 or 3) to join a market‑leading solar specialist. The role is field‑based across the North East and surrounding regions, offering full training into commercial solar installation and a clear progression path to Lead Electrician.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out full‑scale electrical installation on large commercial solar projects from start to finish.
• Travel to sites in Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Northallerton and surrounding areas.
• Record mileage and claim reimbursement (30p per mile) as no vehicle is provided.
• Work occasional overtime and overnight shifts as required.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician with NVQ Level 2 or Level 3.
• Motivated to receive training in the solar sector and progress to a Lead Electrician role.
• Willing to cover regional sites and possess a personal vehicle for travel.
