Electrician – University Campus (Reading)

About the role

We are seeking a Level‑3 qualified Electrician to join a beautiful university campus in Reading. This days‑based, 36‑hour week position offers a supportive environment, excellent work‑life balance and the chance to work on historic and modern buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across a range of campus facilities.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and ensure all work complies with electrical safety regulations.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to support the estate’s operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and liaise with the facilities management team.

Required profile

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis and compliance adherence.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to join the on‑call rota.
