Electronic Assembler – Waterlooville

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Assembler to join a growing manufacturing business in Waterlooville. You will work on a variety of electronic and mechanical assemblies in a clean, organised environment, with genuine opportunities for skill development and career progression.

Key responsibilities

• PCB assembly, component placement, soldering and rework.
• Cable assembly, wiring, crimping, loom and harness assembly.
• Mechanical assembly using hand and power tools.
• Reading engineering drawings, schematics and assembly instructions.
• Assembling products to production schedules and quality standards.
• Carrying out basic inspection and testing.
• Maintaining production and traceability records.
• Reporting defects and non‑conformances.
• Following ISO 9001 procedures and ESD requirements.
• Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in PCB, cable or mechanical assembly.
• Experience as a solderer within electronics manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Experience using hand tools and assembly equipment.
• Understanding of quality inspection processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Production operative experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IPC standards or ESD controls is beneficial.
