Electronic Test Engineer – RF Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an RF Test Engineer to join a growing technology company in Fareham. You will work within a collaborative engineering and production team, testing, diagnosing faults and validating specialist RF communication products used by government, defence and security organisations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Test, fault‑find and repair RF electronic products to board level.
• Carry out final system configuration and functional testing.
• Operate RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers and signal generators.
• Validate and improve production test procedures and processes.
• Support mechanical, cable and wiring assembly activities where required.
• Assist with product kitting for internal manufacture and subcontract production.
• Work to agreed production schedules while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives across production and testing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an electronics or RF test environment.
• Hands‑on ability to diagnose and repair board‑level faults.
• Familiarity with radio communication products and related documentation.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• HND or equivalent in Electronics Engineering is advantageous but not essential.
