Electronics Engineer – Fault Finding & Repair

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Electronics Engineer who specialises in fault finding, diagnosing and repairing complex industrial electronic systems. The role is workshop‑based, dealing with high‑value equipment and offering the chance to work at PCB component level, improve system performance and contribute to R&D projects.

Key responsibilities

• Fault find, repair and refurbish high‑value electronic equipment.
• Diagnose issues down to the component/PCB level.
• Modify, tweak and enhance electronic systems beyond standard testing.
• Support testing, servicing and continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in technical projects and research‑and‑development initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Electronics Engineer (HNC, NVQ, C&G or equivalent).
• Strong hands‑on fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Passion for problem‑solving, repair and product improvement.
• Desire for a varied technical role beyond routine bench work.

Required skills

• Electronics troubleshooting.
• PCB‑level diagnostics and repair.
• Electronic system modification and optimisation.

What we offer

• Salary £40,000‑£43,000 per year.
• Overtime paid at 1.5×.
• Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 40 hours.
• Training, progression and exposure to R&D projects.
