Electronics Engineer – Programme Manager – Medical Devices

About the role

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer with strong programme‑management experience to lead multiple electro‑mechanical medical‑device projects from Cambridge. The role combines hands‑on electronics design with mentorship of junior engineers and coordination with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver several medical‑device development programmes simultaneously.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Design and validate electronics for implantable, wearable or other electro‑mechanical devices.
• Ensure compliance with EN60601 and ISO 13485 throughout the product lifecycle.
• Communicate project status, risks and changes to stakeholders both virtually and on‑site.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience developing new medical‑device technologies in an industry setting.
• Background in electro‑mechanical medical devices (implantable, wearable, etc.).
• Relevant engineering degree (electronics, biomedical, or similar); advanced degree optional.
• Proven ability to mentor staff and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
