Electronics Engineer (Security Clearance) – Cambridge

About the role

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to join a specialist technology group located on a modern science park just outside Cambridge. The role focuses on developing advanced electronic systems that support the UK’s safety and resilience, moving from concept through to working prototypes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop complex electronic hardware, including schematics and PCB layouts.
• Perform board bring‑up, testing, and validation of prototypes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists and designers.
• Document designs and produce technical reports for delivery.
• Contribute to rapid‑prototype projects, turning requirements into functional systems.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in electronics or related engineering discipline.
• Experience developing complex electronic systems across the full development cycle.
• Ability to obtain or already hold UK security clearance.
• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and handling fast‑paced projects.
