Electronics Engineer – Service & Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for skilled Electronics Engineers to join our team, delivering service, maintenance and repair of electronic systems across high‑voltage, marine, defence and medical environments. The role offers both site‑based positions and field‑service assignments, giving you the chance to work on cutting‑edge equipment in a variety of operational settings.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain electronic systems and equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fault‑finding.
• Install and commission electronic systems as required.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Identify recurring faults and suggest continuous‑improvement solutions.
• Attend client sites for field service, managing service calls to meet SLAs.
• Support on‑site maintenance operations and collaborate with engineering teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electronics service, maintenance or repair.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical documentation.
• Full UK driving licence (for field roles).
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
• HNC/HND or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline (desirable).
• Experience in regulated or secure environments such as defence, rail or healthcare (desirable).
