Electronics Engineering Consultant – PCB

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineering Consultant to lead PCB design engagements for complex electronic systems. Based in Solihull, you will work with clients across aerospace, automotive, defence and other safety‑critical domains, delivering end‑to‑end hardware solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full consulting lifecycle from business process analysis to solution design, development and deployment.
• Define problem statements, drive discovery workshops and shape architecture and design reviews.
• Guide delivery teams on project processes, deliverables and configuration‑management standards.
• Drive business pursuit initiatives, client training and internal capability building.
• Ensure consulting solutions meet client needs and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience in PCB layout and board design for complex electronic systems, including multilayer boards.
• Knowledge of high‑speed digital design, signal integrity, power distribution, grounding and EMC/EMI design practices.
• Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly processes and ability to interpret schematics into production‑ready layouts.
• Experience working within defined design‑rule and configuration‑management environments.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Preferred experience in aerospace, defence, industrial controls, automotive or other safety‑critical electronics.
• Understanding of IPC standards and PCB design best practices.
