EL/PL Claims Handler

About the role

Keoghs LLP is looking for an EL/PL Claims Handler to join its team in Leeds. You will manage a caseload of Public and Employers Liability claims up to a £30,000 reserve, guiding each case from inception to pre‑litigation settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage PL/EL claims up to £30,000, ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate records in the case management system.
• Meet client service level agreements and attend review meetings.
• Support client projects and undertake additional tasks as directed.
• Report to the Team Leader/Claims Unit Service Manager and allocate new claims when required.
• Perform supervisory duties appropriate to the role.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of claims handling experience.
• Experience handling quantum up to £25,000.
• Proven ability to evaluate, negotiate and settle Public/Employers Liability claims.
• Flexible approach to work; supervisory experience is desirable.
