EL/PL Litigation Executive

About the role

Keoghs LLP is looking for an EL/PL Litigation Executive to join its Corporate Risk Team in Liverpool. You will manage a mixed caseload of multi‑track EL/PL claims, working with high‑profile corporate clients and insurers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with clients and insurers.
• Manage a mixed caseload of multi‑track EL/PL claims, typically valued between £25k‑£100k.
• Assess liability and quantum, and devise strategies to achieve the best outcomes.
• Utilise the firm’s case management system to progress files from receipt to closure.
• Draft pleadings, including defences and witness statements.
• Attend court hearings, trials, settlement conferences and other proceedings.
• Meet targets for chargeable hours, work‑in‑progress and client‑provided management information.
• Uphold Keoghs’ values and professional standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling EL/PL multi‑track files.
• Positive, confident and enthusiastic attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation ability over the phone.
• Ability to produce concise reports and maintain high attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to work under pressure.
• Good advocacy and client‑care skills.
