Embedded Linux Application Developer (Telecom)

About the role
We are seeking an Embedded Linux Application Developer to join a long‑standing telecommunications client on a 6‑month contract (extendable to the end of 2027). You will work on the application layer of MCX functionality, delivering robust user‑space software for call control, messaging and service logic.
Key responsibilities
- Develop embedded Linux user‑space applications supporting MCX features such as call control, bearer control, messaging, and group communications.
- Integrate MCX components with platform services and third‑party MCX stacks.
- Implement interfaces between application logic and subsystems including UI, modem, audio path and configuration services.
- Support configuration, provisioning and runtime behaviour aligned with MCX system requirements.
- Create supporting functionality for logging, diagnostics, error handling, configuration management and service lifecycle.
Required profile
- Proven experience in developing embedded Linux applications for telecommunications or related domains.
- Ability to work independently on complex integration tasks and deliver high‑quality code.

What we offer
- 6‑month outside IR35 contract with the possibility of extension to the end of 2027.
