Embedded Software Engineer – Bristol (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Embedded Software Engineer to join our fast‑growing team in Bristol. The role is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career engineers who want to work on cutting‑edge firmware for our next‑generation product.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain bare‑metal firmware in C for new and existing product features.
• Assist with testing, debugging and integration of embedded solutions.
• Follow structured development processes, participate in code reviews and ensure high‑quality code.
• Use Git for source control and Jira for task tracking and issue management.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career engineer with a strong interest in low‑level development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior engineers and contribute to a team‑oriented environment.
• Enthusiasm for problem‑solving and continuous learning.

Required skills

• C programming for bare‑metal applications.
• Experience with communication protocols such as SPI, RS485 and CAN.
• Knowledge of ARM architectures (Cortex‑M or Cortex‑A).
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Familiarity with Jira task‑tracking system.
