Emergency Control Room Operator

About the role

The Emergency Control Room Operator will be the first line of defence for the safety and security of Pinnacle Group’s sites. Working from the control room in Carrington, Manchester, you will monitor CCTV, respond to alarms and incidents, and coordinate with on‑site security and external authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV feeds and conduct regular patrols of the camera system.
• Receive, assess and act on alarms, emergencies and incident reports.
• Maintain continuous communication with on‑site security officers, providing guidance and direction.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and client‑specific control‑room software.
• Prepare detailed incident logs and reports for each security‑related event.
• Liaise with police, fire services and emergency healthcare providers when required.
• Welcome visitors, staff and contractors, managing access to the control room environment.

Required profile

• Valid SIA Badge (Security Guard or Door Supervisor licence).
• Valid CCTV licence.
• UK manual driver’s licence and own transport for site visits.
• Strong, clear communicator able to use radio control equipment.
• Reliability and ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts (4 days on/4 days off).

• Shift allowance of £217 per month.
