Emergency Lighting Service Engineer – Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking experienced electricians to join our team as Emergency Lighting Service Engineers. You will test, maintain and replace emergency lighting systems in social housing blocks across Northeast London and Essex.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out emergency lighting (EML) testing and certification on existing circuits.
• Identify and replace faulty emergency lights and components.
• Perform remedial electrical work such as installing spurs and minor circuit modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of testing and work completed.
• Travel to sites using a company‑provided van, adhering to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum City & Guilds Level 2 (service engineer) or Level 3 (electrical engineer) qualification.
• Valid full manual UK driving licence with at least one year driving experience.
• Clean DBS check and age over 21.
• Experience in EML testing, certification and remedial works.
