Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner

About the role

As an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner you will join the Wiltshire Children’s Service, delivering specialist emotional support to children and families. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, helping to improve mental health outcomes and promote resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and group emotional wellbeing sessions for children and young people.
• Assess emotional and mental health needs and develop personalised support plans.
• Collaborate with health, social care and education professionals to ensure integrated care.
• Maintain accurate records and produce reports in line with service standards.
• Deliver health‑promotion activities, including wellbeing workshops and resilience training.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in mental health, counselling, psychology or a related field.
• Experience working with children or young people in a health or social‑care setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive practice.
