Employability Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an Employability Coordinator to join the Employability team across Carshalton and Merton Colleges. The role will develop and manage employer partnerships, arrange work placements and ensure that T‑Level and other full‑time learners gain meaningful industry experience.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with external employers across a range of sectors.
• Identify, organise and monitor work placements and employability activities for full‑time learners.
• Record placement details on college systems and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
• Collaborate with the Head of Employability to meet placement targets and support student progress.
• Promote employability initiatives within the college and to external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree or relevant professional qualification in a related subject.
• Proven experience generating employer links and managing work‑placement programmes.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to new ideas.

Required skills

• Experience using college or similar student‑management systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to work placements.
