Employability Tutor / Trainer (Community Outreach)

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Employability Tutor/Trainer to deliver community‑based outreach training for unemployed adults aged 19+. The role is home‑based with regular travel to community sites across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Key responsibilities
- Design, deliver and coach group‑based employability programmes from enrolment to completion.
- Facilitate engaging sessions covering CV writing, job search strategies, interview techniques and confidence building.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs and provide differentiated support.
- Plan schemes of work, lesson plans and assessments, monitoring learner progress and data.
- Assist learners in accessing employment, apprenticeships or further training pathways.
Required profile
- Recognised teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET, PGCE) or assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA, TAQA).
- Proven experience delivering employability training to groups.
- Understanding of Ofsted EIF standards.
- Strong ability to inspire and motivate learners in a classroom setting.
- Self‑motivated, confident and able to work independently.
- Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
Required skills
What we offer
- Salary between £28,000 and £30,000 per year, dependent on experience.
- Expenses paid for travel, excellent holiday entitlement and pension scheme.
