Employee Relations Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join a fast‑paced, people‑focused financial services organisation. Working hybrid, you will partner with leaders to provide expert advice on absence, conduct and performance matters, helping to drive positive outcomes for colleagues and the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of employee relations cases covering absence, conduct and performance.
• Coach and support managers through informal and formal case management processes.
• Provide expert guidance on company policies and HR best practice.
• Support the rollout of colleague retention initiatives.
• Work proactively with leaders to identify and resolve ER issues early.
• Analyse case trends and produce regular reports to inform wider ER improvements.
• Deliver fair, balanced and commercially appropriate outcomes for both staff and the organisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling a high volume of employee relations cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
