Employee Relations Specialist

About the role

Wise May Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a global reinsurance client for an Employee Relations Specialist at AVP level. The role will act as a global subject‑matter expert, designing and embedding a new service‑delivery framework to support employees and managers on employee‑relations matters across the International region.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of an enterprise Employee Relations framework, ensuring alignment with regional employment regulations.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve ER standards, processes and tools, including templates for disciplinary actions, performance management and involuntary separations.
• Lead complex workplace investigations, including harassment, discrimination and GDPR‑related concerns, and produce investigation reports with recommended outcomes.
• Provide expert ER advice to specialists and act as an escalation point within a tiered support model.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ER programmes, reporting on case trends, risk indicators and external counsel usage.
• Act as a trusted advisor in business discussions, offering insight on emerging workplace risks and trends.
• Design and deliver ER training for managers and employees, ensuring consistency with global standards.
• Stay abreast of regional legal and regulatory developments in partnership with country leads.

Required profile

• AVP‑level experience with international employee‑relations expertise.
• Proven ability to lead high‑risk investigations and manage complex employee matters.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, GDPR and regional regulatory requirements.
• Excellent collaboration skills with HR Business Partners, Legal and People Experience Operations.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to produce clear, actionable reports.
