Employer Funding and Risk Lead

About the role

The Wiltshire Pension Fund is seeking an experienced professional to lead employer funding and risk activities. You will protect the long‑term sustainability of a £4 bn Local Government Pension Scheme fund by advising on funding, actuarial and pension risk matters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead employer admissions, reorganisations, mergers, cessations and TUPE‑related pension matters.
• Manage employer funding and covenant risk, monitor compliance and performance.
• Support the triennial valuation process and work closely with actuaries and senior stakeholders.
• Shape funding and risk policies and lead discussions on affordability and employer solvency.
• Provide trusted advice to senior leaders to enable sound decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pensions, funding or risk within a public‑sector or large‑scale pension environment.
• Strong analytical ability and confidence to influence senior leaders.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
