Employment Adviser – Support Long‑Term Unemployed

About the role

The Employment Adviser works on the front line of Reed in Partnership’s Restart Scheme, helping long‑term unemployed jobseekers overcome barriers and secure sustainable employment. You will deliver personalised support, engage with local employers and promote the scheme within the community.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of long‑term unemployed participants, identifying barriers and creating tailored action plans.
• Provide one‑to‑one guidance including CV writing, interview preparation and skills development.
• Meet and exceed performance targets and KPIs.
• Collaborate with participants to build confidence and shift mindsets toward employment.
• Engage local employers to identify job opportunities and match participants.
• Signpost participants to internal and external services for health, housing or financial challenges.
• Promote the Restart Scheme in the local community, raising awareness of its benefits.
