Employment Advisor – Community Support Role

About the role

We are seeking an Employment Advisor to join a well‑established charity in Barnet. You will be trained as an IPS Employment Specialist and work directly in the community to help people with health conditions or disabilities return to work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 25 participants, delivering personalised employment support.
• Visit partner sites such as Job Centres, Council Offices and NHS Trusts, hot‑desking as required.
• Collaborate with local employers to identify and create suitable job opportunities.
• Provide guidance on CV writing, interview preparation and workplace adjustments.
• Travel expenses are reimbursed for all work‑related journeys.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Employment Advisor, in recruitment, B2B sales, or supporting vulnerable clients.
• Graduates with relevant paid or voluntary experience are welcome.
• Live within an hour’s commute to Barnet.
• Commit to a permanent, full‑time, community‑based role (Monday‑Friday, 9 am‑5 pm).
