Employment Advisor / Recruiter – Full‑time in Cornwall

About the role

An exciting opportunity awaits a motivated and engaging individual who wants to support the wider community and help lower unemployment rates. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping people achieve their goals, building strong employer relationships, and delivering high‑quality employment support services.

Key responsibilities

• Engage, motivate and support a caseload of unemployed participants through to gaining sustainable employment.
• Identify and support individuals with any barriers to work.
• Work with the caseload to complete action plans and understand their skills, aspirations and goals.
• Provide employability support such as CV writing, job search techniques and interview preparation.
• Proactively engage with local employers to source vacancies, understand recruitment needs and promote candidates.
• Maintain employer relationships and update employer engagement databases.

Required profile

• Experience in a target‑driven environment (business development, sales, recruitment, customer service, etc.).
• Ideally experience in a similar Employment Advisor or Coach role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and support individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated experience working towards KPIs.
• IT literate.
