Employment Solicitor – 2+ Years PQE

About the role

Our client, a family‑run modern law firm, is seeking an enthusiastic Employment Solicitor to join their growing team in Chelmsford. Working directly with the Managing Partner, you will advise both individuals and businesses on a wide range of employment law matters, delivering commercially‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with referrers and clients.
• Provide clear, confident advice to individuals on employment disputes and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Assist start‑ups and SMEs with day‑to‑day employment and HR issues, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
• Collaborate with the legal team to meet monthly targets and KPIs.
• Contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities and promoting the firm’s services.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in employment law; newly qualified solicitors may also be considered.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation.
• Excellent communication skills – confident, clear, articulate and welcoming.
• Professional, ethical and client‑focused attitude.
• Team player with a desire to develop a legal career.
