Employment Solicitor – 6+ Years PQE, £70k (DOE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join our Newcastle office. You will manage a full caseload, providing both advisory support and litigation expertise to employer clients across a broad spectrum of employment matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day advisory work and Employment Tribunal litigation for employer clients.
• Provide commercial advice on TUPE, reorganisations, contracts of employment, workplace policies, disciplinary and grievance issues, and senior executive exits.
• Take ownership of Employment Tribunal claims from initial instruction through drafting pleadings, case management and advocacy.
• Mentor and support junior lawyers, fostering team development.
• Build and strengthen client relationships while contributing to networking, marketing and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) as an Employment Solicitor.
• Proven track record advising employer clients on both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.
• Experience managing Employment Tribunal claims from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of TUPE and employment issues arising from mergers and acquisitions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Analytical mindset with confidence to deliver clear, commercially focused advice.
