Employment Solicitor – Build & Lead New Department

About the role

We are partnering with a modern, forward‑thinking law firm seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to shape and lead a new Employment department. This role offers the chance to build the practice from the ground up with full support from an ambitious, growing firm.

Key responsibilities

• Run and develop the firm’s Employment offering.
• Handle a mix of respondent and claimant employment cases.
• Build your own pipeline and actively win new work.
• Develop client relationships and grow the department over time.

Required profile

• Qualified Employment Solicitor, confident and capable (experience level flexible).
• Proactive, with a “go out and win work” mindset.
• Commercially aware and comfortable working with business clients.
• Enthusiastic, driven and keen to progress.
• Enjoys autonomy and building something long‑term.
• Good cultural fit for a social, modern, team‑focused firm.
