Employment Solicitor – Experienced (5‑6 PQE)

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its growing Employment team in Shirley, West Midlands. The role involves handling a broad range of contentious and non‑contentious employment matters for both business and private clients, providing commercially‑focused advice.

Key responsibilities

• Advising employers on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, redundancies, TUPE and organisational restructures.
• Managing Employment Tribunal claims from initial instruction through to resolution.
• Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, policies, settlement agreements and related documentation.
• Supporting corporate transactions with employment law advice and due diligence.
• Providing commercially focused, strategic advice tailored to clients' objectives.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Contributing to business development activities, including networking, client training and seminars.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 5–6 years post‑qualification experience in employment law.
• Strong technical expertise across both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.
• Experience managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong client care and relationship management skills.
• Proactive, commercially aware approach with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organisation, time‑management and attention to detail.
