Employment Solicitor – Guildford

About the role

Join a forward‑thinking regional law firm as an Employment Solicitor in Guildford. You will support a diverse client base of employers, senior executives and individuals, delivering high‑quality advice on both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload covering disciplinary, grievance, settlement agreements, contracts, policies, redundancies and Employment Tribunal claims.
• Advise on HR queries and provide strategic guidance on restructures, TUPE, discrimination, whistleblowing and restrictive covenant disputes.
• Collaborate with senior team members on complex, high‑value instructions.
• Engage directly with clients, building trusted relationships.
• Deliver seminars, workshops and training sessions for HR professionals and senior management.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 2‑5 years post‑qualification experience in employment law.
• Proven ability to handle both contentious and non‑contentious matters for employer and employee clients.
• Strong drafting and negotiation capabilities.
• Technical competence and confidence in client interaction.
• Proactive, collaborative attitude with an interest in business development.
