Employment Solicitor – Leeds

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is expanding its Employment team in Leeds and is looking for a qualified solicitor to join a supportive, client‑focused practice. You will work closely with the Head of Department, handling a mix of contentious and non‑contentious matters for both individuals and businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied employment law caseload with appropriate supervision.
• Advise clients on claimant and respondent matters, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in Employment Tribunal hearings from instruction through to resolution.
• Draft legal documentation such as contracts, policies and settlement agreements.
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high‑quality client care.
• Support colleagues and contribute to team development.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with experience in employment law.
• Ideally around 5 years post‑qualification experience, though all levels will be considered.
• Familiarity with Employment Tribunal processes is preferred.
• Commercial and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Strong technical and drafting abilities in employment law matters.
