Employment Solicitor – £75,000+ (DOE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join our Birmingham‑based practice. You will manage a diverse caseload, provide commercial advice to employer clients, and contribute to the growth of our employment law team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload, covering day‑to‑day advisory work and Employment Tribunal litigation.
• Provide pragmatic advice on TUPE, reorganisations, contracts of employment, workplace policies, disciplinary and grievance matters, and senior executive exits.
• Take ownership of Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through pleadings, case management and advocacy where appropriate.
• Mentor and support junior lawyers, sharing knowledge and fostering talent development.
• Build and strengthen client relationships while supporting networking, marketing, and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) as an Employment Solicitor.
• Proven track record advising employer clients on both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.
• Experience managing Employment Tribunal claims from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of TUPE and employment issues arising from mergers and acquisitions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Analytical mindset with the confidence to deliver clear, commercially‑focused advice.
