Employment Team Leader (Mental Health)

About the role

You will lead the Barnet Employment Team, supporting people with health conditions to return to work. This brand‑new position sits within an exciting IPS employment support contract with a charitable partner.

Key responsibilities

• Provide monthly supervisions, quarterly reviews and community observations for a team of 7‑8 Employment Specialists.
• Collaborate closely with NHS partners, Jobcentre Plus and local community groups.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local employers.
• Ensure employment and health plans are aligned and joined‑up.
• Monitor service quality against IPS fidelity standards and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong background as an Employment Advisor or manager on an employment programme.
• Experience in recruitment or support services with a proven ability to motivate teams.
• Genuine care for people and the ability to train, develop and inspire staff.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with partners and stakeholders.
