Enabling Support Worker – Community Care Role

About the role

Join Shaftesbury as an Enabling Support Worker in the Rowlands Gill area, helping a gentleman live independently and enjoy daily life. You will follow his personalised support plan, provide encouragement, and ensure his wellbeing both at home and in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of care activities.
• Provide personal care and medication assistance as needed.
• Support sleep‑in shifts and receive an additional £60 per session.
• Keep the client’s home tidy and comfortable.
• Cook meals together and plan nutritious menus.
• Accompany the client on shopping trips and to medical appointments.
• Assist with diabetes care (training provided).
• Encourage participation in local activities and social connections.

Required profile

• Friendly, chatty and engaging personality.
• Reliable, caring and committed to supporting independence.
• Easy to get along with and enjoys conversation.

Required skills

What we offer

• Full‑time role – 40 hours per week.
• Hourly rate of £12.75.
• Extra £60 for each sleep‑in session.
• Day shift (9:00 AM – 11:00 PM) and sleep‑over shift patterns.
• Training for diabetes care and ongoing support.
